This family-owned company was started by my Dad as an insurance brokerage back in 1965. It grew into a full-service financial firm when we realized our clients needed more.
       
  
I became a stockbroker right out of college. My experience motivated me to become one of the first Certified Financial Planners in the country, because I saw clients investing without goals or a real sense of purpose. Within 3 years, I was Vice President of Financial Planning at a major Wall Street Firm.
